Brewer Pratt Solutions LLC was conceived and founded in 2016 by association management executive Elisa Brewer Pratt. Prior to consulting, Elisa served as an impactful senior staff member for several trade and individual membership associations. Her focus has always been on engagement, whether grassroots advocacy or the development and advancement of regional chapter affiliates both domestically and internationally.
Elisa first embarked on the association industry through government affairs and political fundraising. In 2000 she joined the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists as Political Affairs Manager and Political Action Committee (PAC) Director. Then in 2003 Elisa entered the construction association world, joining the National Roofing Contractors Association as Director of Public Affairs and Political Programs.
Continuing to advance in the trade association space, Elisa joined the Associated General Contractors of America staff in 2005 where for four years she served as AGC’s Director of Congressional Relations and Director of AGC PAC, the association’s federal political action committee. In 2009, she was promoted to Senior Director of Chapter Support Services.
In 2012, as AGC’s Executive Director of Chapter Support Services, Elisa’s role focused on improving the collaboration with and the performance of AGC’s 90+ chapters nationwide. Elisa facilitated the important partnership between AGC of America and its local affiliates, providing each Chapter resources specific to membership development, enhanced governance and non-dues revenue. Elisa also served as Director of the Executive Leadership Council (ELC), a peer group dedicated to the professional development of each chapter’s senior staff and hundreds of regional and local staff and board members.
Most recently Elisa served as Chief Global Member Engagement Officer for ASIS International, working with members and chapters in more than 125 countries. As a strategic member of the ASIS team, Elisa promoted membership polices and benefits, designed strategies to retain and recruit members, and oversaw the ASIS Foundation, Chapters, Councils and the association’s government affairs efforts.
With a unique background in advocacy and activism, membership and stakeholder relations, as well as association management operations, Elisa’s diverse expertise and makes her a valuable partner and adviser to both non-profit and corporate clients.
Elisa is a native of Sacramento, California and received undergraduate degrees in Political Science and English Literature from the University of California, at Davis where upon graduation she was privileged to be named Valedictorian. More recently, she received a Master of Arts in Government with honors from Johns Hopkins University, Advanced Academic Programs. In 2014, Elisa obtained her Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential from the America Society of Association Executives (ASAE). The CAE is considered the highest level of professional competency in the area of association management and serves to elevate professional standards. She resides in Sterling, Virginia with her son and husband, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
